Low Impact Design
This century old building, vacant for decades, was repurposed and revived into a cidery and pintxos bar. Due to the age, extensive utility improvements were required. The side yard, mostly within the public right-of way, was expanded to include a pervious paver outdoor patio that enhanced the value of the property while reducing stormwater runoff and the heat island effect. The sustainable design features of the public space and reinvigorated building use helped restore the urban fabric of Truxton Circle.
