The Arden in McLean, Virginia, is a single-family housing development designed to provide high-quality, transit-accessible homes in one of Northern Virginia’s premier communities. R.C. Fields & Associates provided comprehensive land surveying and site/civil engineering services, including boundary and topographic surveying, utility coordination, site grading, stormwater management design, and full site development plans. The project required close coordination with APAH, the design team, and Fairfax County to navigate zoning requirements, steep topography, and dense utility corridors while integrating bioretention facilities, underground detention, and other green infrastructure to meet stormwater and Chesapeake Bay regulations. Located directly across from the McLean Metro Station, The Arden now delivers safe, efficient, and community-focused housing with excellent access to transit, local amenities, and neighborhood services, supporting long-term affordability within Fairfax County.
